At Abingdon Gap shelter after an 11 mile hike. Tons of people here waiting to go into Damascus. Will be there tomorrow after a 9ish mile hike. It’s an interesting phenomena, the way you meet people on the trail and you instantly bond. We come in and out of each other’s lives, some we hike with for days, and some we see just at shelters. You share hotel rooms and cabins with people you meet, and then may not see the person again. Everyone shares information and community, looking out for each other. Looking forward to Trail Days and moving forward.
